Most of these books you do not have to "read" cover to cover. Read over the introduction and then go to an area or specific trick and read that part....much more fun than just reading....

We should never limit the scope of magic to just 'card tricks'! I realize that many on this website are primarily into card magic. Yet, I also know that many of us on here also do many other types of magic....so put no further limitations on questions like these...

If the audience is 'entertained' buy your script, then it is good! Only the audience can give you a real answer on this. When you get a good script, your audience will signal you that they are enjoying your show!

I love doing kids shows, especially the young ones....5-11 or so...because they still believe in magic! Where else can you get that except maybe in a nursing home, the many of the elderly have gone full circle and again believe in magic! Just have fun, they will be a great audience regardless....
