You shouldn't be concerned with "magician foolers" as you aren't performing for magicians, you're performing for laypeople.. unless a group of magicians hire you for a birthday party, of course.
As a visual learner, that'd make things harder for me and probably a few others. But I do have to agree. I love to read and I'm sure reading about magic would be quite awesome too and considering there would be absolutely no other sources, we'd all get used to it eventually.
Hm. Well, heaps of people flourish on this site and there are quite a few 1-on-1's and media submissions which are all just flourishing.. but, it's still more of a magic site to me.
So, it's a magic site where HEAPS AND HEAPS of people flourish. *nods*
LOL! I'd so buy them.
Pants would be interesting. Plain black with the t11 logo near the right pocket and Cerca Trova on the back pocket. Could be nice, especially if they put lots of pocket space.
If you present your magic as a puzzle, people will automatically try and work things out. If you, on the other hand, present it as a fun experience with YOU also enjoying the magic then people will often just have fun with you.
I was watching a performance of Sam The Bellhop on YouTube the other day.. it was pretty poor and I found out why it was so: "Sorry if my patter isn't good, I learnt this trick an hour ago." I nearly cried.
But yes, exposure sucks.. poor performances suck.. yeah.
And to answer a question...
That's true about the magic company thing. Send a ticket to E or somewhere with a link to the video and it's gone within a few hours. I've done it numerous times.
I really like your hair in the first photo. :p
Now that I think about it, the way I dress and have my hair is probably why I get so many "rejections" on the street. Oh well.
On the street I wear what I always wear, and that's basically a black band shirt and black jeans with black shoes..
If I perform a bit more "professional" I'll still try to keep the 'rocker' theme going and wear black jeans with black shoes with a white button-up shirt and a black...
