i recently purchased transcript by Spidey. but the only thing i noticed is that some of the methods are a little finicky and dont fit my personal style of magic. so i was wondering if there were any great impromptu book tests out there somewhere. (P.S. i would absolutely recommend transcript...

i know that everyone says that magic is only 20% method. but i was wondering if there were any good sources for learning how to develop you presence as a magician, and to help you come up with patter for you effects.

i agree i got the complete series 5 years ago and i am still learning new things from it.

i think that magic as an art form should only be 20% method and the rest is showmanship this does not mean that you can make a magic routine with only the patter it has to be a ratio. you can't do a routine with amazing presentation but sloppy handling and on the contrary you can't have amazing...

Criss Ramsay has some great tutorials online but the number one thing i can suggest is to check your local library and see if they have any of the Tarbell lessons in magic.

i'm working on a gypsy thread routine and was wondering if there were any specific kinds of thread that work best. i'm looking for a thread that is thicker but breaks easy. i was wondering if there were any specific companies that produce this kind of thread. thank you

i personally use bike about 80 percent of the time because of the price and the fact that they are so much more known, but i do agree that tally hoes are much better quality cards for cardistry and the back designs are more elegant. so i personally would prefer to use tally hoes.

true but i was mostly concerned with the fact that these people are giving away other peoples life work for free which is unfair to the creators and the people watching the videos because they dont get the insight or performance tips from the creator. that was a really nice roast though. (:

i have made numerous purchases through theory11 and Ellusionist and just recently i was curious on how many of them are being reveled for free. i went on youtube only to find that most of the effects are being reveled to the public FOR FREE. i would like to hear others opinions on this catastrophe.
