Agree with first part, not so much with the second part. I can preform magic for people, it will be uncomfortable but I can do it. Asking someone out on the other hand? Ha. No.

Great post. I keep a couple of more intermediate tricks in my set (set loose term because all I do is preform for friends or random people I run into...) just to bust people who try to say "Oh, you are just doing a double lift there!" Whereas I can reply by doing Twisting the Aces and ask them...

Regarding decks, you don't *need* any. You can do magic with pretty much any deck and cardistry with pretty much any deck equal to or better than standard bikes. Also, what source are you using to learn these basics?

It is nice to have a good story, it can enhance a trick a lot. I am a fan of a pretty small time local magician somewhat near me who did a story really well this this routine.

I know cards, don't know anything else, starting to get into coins and spongeballs but for now I have to stick to cards. It was a bit clunky and probably won't fool anyone but at least I had an idea.

Well looking at other things you have posted, it looks like you are in a pretty humid area of the world, which is unfortunate because you can't really do too much about it. I don't know if a card clip will help with humidity though.
