You will have everything needed. It'll take some practice to perform naturally with it, but once you get to that point the possibilities are unlimited. and like visualartist said, its more about your presentation.

Personally, I present it as skill with cards and sleight of hand. Not real magic. If the spectator wants to believe real magic I don't dissuade them or enforce it. For my style and personality, it fits me a lot better to seems experienced with cards as opposed to creating real life magic.

Honestly, I think the focus of this is quite bad. You're completely focusing on the negative. How about, instead of a negative, what's bad rant, people state the problem once at the beginning, and spend their discussion time on how they think we could/should improve it? Not only will doing this...

There was technique. There really wasn't much more they could explain. Pay attention to which hand moves first. That alone helps extend it quite a bit. It seems like you went into this with a negative attitude. The give you tips on how to receive the cards, how to control them, and how to extend...

Just watched the Anaconda Tutorial. Kind of surprised how short it was. Not to say there was a lack of material, it's just much simpler than I expected. :] all in all good clear teaching.
