Introducing myself and a thank you!

Hi Spaz, it's great to have you here! Welcome to the forums!

    Which tricks should I perform?

Thank you for the advice and the offer, but I don't think that would work too well with kids of that age group. Nevertheless, I really appreciate the offer!

    A few good moves ...

Could be. Any idea as to the other two turnover switches?

    A few good moves ...

Hi move-monkeys and sleight-of-hand lovers out there, Figured you'd like this little video: My favorite part are the hand mucks in there, especially a few turn-over mucks I've never seen before (at ~2:25). Doesn't look like a MacMillan Switch to me, anybody know it? Enjoy your day :)

Where can I find Steve Forte's "Invisible Thieves"?

Little update: I checked with Vanishing Inc. and it seems it was a mistake that "Invisible Thieves" wasn't included in my download. They dealt with it promptly and I can now view it. Either way, thank you Gabriel for your generosity! Your offer to part with your copy is much appreciated :)

Where can I find Steve Forte's "Invisible Thieves"?

Wow, thank you for the offer! But I'm afraid this one part of bonus material isn't worth it for me to pay nearly the whole price again (apart from the fact that I probably couldn't do it financially). I was hoping you could buy it seperately somewhere ... ? Again, thanks for the offer!

Where can I find Steve Forte's "Invisible Thieves"?

Hi guys, Steve Forte's Gambling Protection Series usually includes a section called "Gambling Invisible Thieves" in it's bonus section. However, the download I purchased from Vanishing Inc. (because the DVDs were out of stock) doesn't include it, which I didn't know before making the purchase...

    Storyline vs Visual Tricks

I agree, his voice is smooth as silk. He would be fantastic for reading stories to little children as well, it's got that soothing quality. It's explained nicely in this excerpt from his and Penn's Google Talk, sorry I didn't send it before:

    Storyline vs Visual Tricks

I agree with what was said before, this is no a) or b) question. I know we all hate this answer, but it all depends. First of all it depends on the magician himself and his personality: Is he a rather quiet type of person, but has some incredible technical skill? In this case, instead of...

How to find the Joker - trick

Very nice! It's not often to see somebody with skill both at gambling techniques and flourishing -- I like it!

    Which tricks should I perform?

Good point, thanks. As I've another 3-minute block to fill, which trick would you suggest for that?

    Which tricks should I perform?

Yeah, it would be the classic "Follow the red card" theme, putting a bend into the red card etc. Nothing too fancy, but in my limited experience it gets good reactions, especially if you let the spectator bet some imaginary money on the card they choose. Again, nothing too fancy; I shuffle the...

    Which tricks should I perform?

The good thing about Three Card Monte is that I can do it quite well already (I mean the street hustler version; I think there's a trick that's called the same but is quite different). Here's a few things I already know and could perform: Colour Changing Deck (see above post) Finding the Aces...

    Which tricks should I perform?

What do y'all think of a trick similar to the Chicago Opener? There's one in Harry Lorayne's Magic Book I rather like: The whole deck changes colour, one card changes back, this is the card selected by a spectator. Do you think this effect would be fitting?

    Which tricks should I perform?

Ooh, ooh, yes, yes! ... please? :D But honestly: Do you think that would be fitting? I've thought about it myself, but 1. I'm not 100% sure it's entertaining enough, and 2. I don't want potentially present mothers to be afraid of their poor little children being made into hustlers.

    Which tricks should I perform?

It's difficult to answer your question of how many people will be there, I'm guessing it'll be something between 10 and 20. About my level of experience: I've been doing gambling sleights for a bit over a year, but started practicing magic only a month or ago. Due to my "experience" (not sure if...

    Which tricks should I perform?

Had to laugh out loud at that :D But guess what, that even I was able to figure out :D

    Which tricks should I perform?

Hi guys, I've been asked to perform at a small event at my school in 5 weeks, the audience being ~10-13 year olds (possibly with parents). I'll have 2x 3 minutes (give or take) to fill. Which effects would you recommend me to use for that? Thanks a lot for any recommendations!

Eliminating Finger Flashing While Bottom Dealing

No worries, I was a bit too pedantic. Should have known what you meant :) Already done so. As for your problem: Keep practicing and adjusting to your personal needs. I've read a great many posts by the person performing the bottom (by the way, quite an amazing bottom deal) in the videos, and...

Eliminating Finger Flashing While Bottom Dealing

As somebody on the Magic Café put it: Three steps to the perfect bottom deal: 1. Take the deck face-down in dealing position into your dealing hand 2. Turn it face-up 3. Start dealing All joking aside, I think what you are looking for is quite impossible. It...
