    I need help!

For THIS coming up gig. Learn from it. Listen to your audience and take every little notice of your surroundings and figure what works and what doesnt. What to say and how to say it.

    I need help!

I dont think youd be able to perform it well enough by chrismas eve. And by the time it even gets to you by ordering... But it is a great effect if you know how to act and make it your strength in your act. Most magicians dont look right doing it and just come off as plain gross.

    I need help!

Thats usually how some people do it but its up to you. There is no actual ground rule that its the best way to go. Splice in middle ground good and the "quickie" tricks at the beginning and finish off...big? Your confident. Thats good.Dont get cocky, people hate that. Not saying you are just...

wow dude your really set back on this. Do you own these already? Thread is something big. It shouldnt be performed lightly. Give it its grandeur it deserves. Stigmata is perfect. Dont do card trick after card trick. Mix something in between so you wont look like a one trick pony.

Are magicians too worried about who is doing this move?

Umm the audience isnt supposed to know that there is a sleight. And its alot more suspicious if the magician keeps putting the card in the deck hundreds of different ways. The spectators shouldnt be looking at the deck after the card is pushed in. They should be on you. Since YOU are the...

If its not your style to be funny then dont be. Itll come off forced and end bad for you. But if you are,go ahead.

    Put the cards down...

Here is a message from TOYROBOT that hits on very good points and what we are saying about lack of motivation. Sucks that he's gone "My thoughts are that cards are an old prop. You know how some people are saying that we need to update our tricks to incorporate new technology and culture? Like...

    Put the cards down...

as for this new card magic thats been coming out..some friends and family finally have watched some and their reactions are pretty mixed. Put the cards down...

You hit on somethings ive wanted to be pointed out but not the main ones. Yeah, like I said, there are millions of card material because its easier to do it. Nowadays there are hundreds of transpos, sandwiches and variations all claiming to be the ultimate and smoothest. Tricks are being made for...

    Put the cards down...

I did make this one card/non-card effect months ago. I use a card but only to show the potential of the human body. Monks in some regions of Asia have demonstrated an ability to raise the core temperature of their extremities by as much as 17 degrees. Scientists still aren't entirely certain...

Spin Shift tutorial - Geraint Clarke

fo sho. And even if they did spot the little twirl,it doesnt register as fishy. More of like a square up or casual tiny flourish. Other than the countless other jerky, highly suspect after moves ive seen in other card controls.

    Put the cards down...

Obviously this isnt directed at solely hobbiest. Hobbiest can do whatever they want. What im saying is its not an issue of "its what they are interested/specialize in". because its ALL anyone wants to do anymore. And its blatantly obvious that its because,as I said before, a safe zone. To just...

Spin Shift tutorial - Geraint Clarke

the good thing is though, after you push the card in,the spectators should be looking at you and not the deck anymore. So that little spin of the deck shouldnt be a problem.

    Put the cards down...

Its both actually. The hardcore infatuation everyone has with cards and how mediocre that branch has become in the past 5 or 6 years. And what you said as well. Card magic is getting sleightier, less magical, more masterbatory, and almost doesnt make a lick of sense anymore.

    Talking to Laymen

I did say it once but a long time ago. But yeah, thats the gist of it. Laymen are way more imaginative than magicians.Go figure.
