Hand Mucking - Where to Learn?

It’s basically a method of switching cards primarily when you’re sitting at a table, usually without other people noticing. Some mucks like the classic George Joseph muck or McMillan switch are designed by magicians for magicians, and are mainly to show off. Some of these can be used as a...

How Long To Perfect False Deals?

It’s a really debatable topic. For instance, when it comes to something like the bottom deal, it takes more time to really understand the move and all the nuances like the grip, pressure points, rhythm, etc, specially in a push off, but something like a strike second deal has a much simpler...

Gimmicks vs sleight of hand (coins)

Honestly, I don't think it really matters. Neither in coins nor cards nor anything else. As long as the effect is usable and doesn't raise the suspicion that "something tricky" is involved, it's good. As far as being examinable, things like Tarantula aren't seen and people aren't aware that they...

Hand Mucking - Where to Learn?

The most complete one is George Joseph on hand mucking. But I don’t know of any place that sells it. You might be able to find it on ebay.

Hand Mucking - Where to Learn?

Other than the ones that I know you know, I just remembered another place. Jeremy griffith’s 2nd release with ellusionist “the Pro Sessions” apparently has a few mucking techniques in it. I don’t own this project, but if it’s anything like his first project with E, it’ll be worth it.

    coin magic

If you’re interested in books, the holly grail of coin magic would be J.B Bobo’s “Modern coin magic”. For videos, the best source to begin in my opinion is Eric Jones’s Metal Volume One (available at Ellusionist.com). Another good but rather underrated video source for beginning coin magic is...

    Gambling type routine

Actually, as he mentions in his lecture, he does it exactly as described in the book, but uses a Zarrow shuffle instead of a strip out. I think the only video reference for that move is in Damian Nieman’s Fast Company. Even though, that’s a different one compared to Vernon’s technique.

    Gambling type routine

    Yeah, apparently so.

    Gambling type routine

One of the first and most detailed sources for that can be found in the works of Dai Vernon. I’m sure it was taught in the Vernon trilogy!!(inner, more inner, further inner + ultimate secrets of card magic), but I can’t exactly remember which one. I think it was mentioned in “More inner secrets...

    Six Card Trick!!

That was pretty good. I was almost fooled.

    Card Reveal

I didn’t know that. But after all, it’s a variation of the move.

    Card Reveal

He was talking about the card production at the very beginning of the video, not the trick itself.

    Card Reveal

    You're welcome.

    Card Reveal

Those were 2 completely different moves. The one done by daniel madison was a poorly done hotshot cut from a one handed knuckle cut(created by Daryl), while the other one peformed by kostya kimlat is a long distance spinner.

Saturday Night Contest - Packet Cutter v3

Good luck guys. I guess I'm the first person to upload, so here's my performance, hope you enjoy: P.S. I guess I got a bit carried away with the starting section and writing and all, but it's the first time I'm participating in these types of contests, and I don't know how much work I need to...
