I'm starting to look around for close up mats for my show. One big issue is that I have a sort of oddly sized table; I'm going to need a 18" X 22" mat. What are the best places to shop for custom sized mats?

If you really want to go with a premium deck, go with Monarchs. Except gold monarchs, I believe they have the tendency to draw unnecessary attention. I know banging on Gold Monarchs will draw ire. Fight me!

Honestly, for a decent sized crowd, use Bicycles. Unless you're doing close up, the audience isn't really going to see much of the cards you're using (outside of participants). And no one is going to judge you on what cards you're using--unless the design is super weird and/or hard to read...

I can't pan a card either. It's possible. But also keep in mind that, despite how Muse Cut is a rather mainstay flourish in the one-handed front, it's very intermediate. It's a flourish that REALLY hammers home the lesson of 'precarious packet balance' It's really one of the few flourishes...
