    One question about Distortion.

Guys, Don't fall for Mr. Bayme's trick. I paid $34.95 for Panic (that's $10.00 more than it costs) plus tax, and I was promised that a member of the theory11 crew would send me a special HD-Ray edition of the Panic DVD with Aaron Fisher performing the effect naked. However, when I played it...

If you could have one deck for free, what would it be?

In the shape of a stripper, or with one on it?:D I would be in favor of having one with Chris Kenner or Jon Raiker on it :D. Cheers, JTM

    Tricks/DVDs/Effects/Decks you want?

What I really want is hand through vending machine, or something similar to that, Factory Sealed, and UltraGaff. Yeah, that one. When one goes to the trick deck section, the Ghost Gaff deck does not appear, but the Black Tiger, Blue, and Red Gaff deck do. Cheers, JTM

I don't get it -- the link doesn't work. My thoughts exactly. Cheers, JTM

If you could have one deck for free, what would it be?

A deck that I would like is an invisible deck -- one that at the command of the magician becomes invisible. Also, the 1928 Coca-Cola Deck of playing cards, which are selling on ebay for an excess of a $1,000.00, would be up there. Wow, that's exactly what I said except it's six hours...

who else doesnt want the dvd?

Those points are very true, and its probably one of the reasons that the gimmick is sold with the DVD and not separately, unless they're replacements. Cheers, JTM

    General question about cards.

I'll try to answer your questions ... To keep a deck usable longer make sure to wash your hands, and dry them thoroughly, before using them. Since you short on money, I wouldn't suggest buying a porper clip, but it does help decks last longer, though it's a luxary, not a necessity, for me...

who else doesnt want the dvd?

He does not want to rip off or "steal" from Aaron Fisher, but instead wants to "pay [his] dues to the creater [Mr. Fisher]" by buying the gimmick. He just does not want the DVD because he does not want to follow his routine, but instead create his own, unique one. He hasn't "figured out the...

    The Golden Rules of Magic

I've been asked to make teachers, parents, and me dissapear, but never girlfriends :(. A book about Penn and Teller's rules for magic would great -- all one has to do is follow the opposite. Also, another rule: 1c. The Three Ps: Practice it in the mirror, Practice it for...

who else doesnt want the dvd?

The 5x5 Moving Pips is selling for $29.99 at my local magic store, so one might as well by Distortion at $24.95. He did make the Panic gimmick, but it didn't turn out well because it's not professionally crafted. Cheers, JTM

who else doesnt want the dvd?

I understand that, but if the DVD with the gimmicks is $24.95 or $34.95, then the gimmicks by themselves wouldn't cost more than that because it wouldn't make sense as a business decision. For example, if I want to buy a replacement for my Distortion gimmick and it costs $24.95 or more, as you...

who else doesnt want the dvd?

There's no need for hostility, or any reason to attack him. He, as a customer, is suggesting how theory11, in his opinion could improve. I'm sure it's welcome. Aaron Fisher posted this, and it's a great response to whether the DVD should be mandatory, if one wants to buy the gimmick:

If you could have one deck for free, what would it be?

Well, you can get a deck of Jerry's Nuggets or a Black Ghost deck, and then sell it :(, which would all you to buy about 200 blue Tally-Ho decks, so that you never run out of them with all the practicing and performing. Cheers, JTM

who else doesnt want the dvd?

Well, the guys who came up the effect must be. So, I'm sure that some people will be able to handle it, but not most. I'm not sure about that -- lets say that there 10 people; 5 people buy the effect with the DVD for $125 (5 x $25), 1 of the other 5 people decide to buy the DVD because they...

who else doesnt want the dvd?

Not everyone is as skilled as you are -- you're the exception, not the rule :D. With the Distortion gimmick, the DVD offers some valubale tips that if I did not follow, would have led me to ruin the gimmick. However, that's me. But the improper use of gimmicks and their subsequent...

    Jokers - Yay or Nay?

Yeah, I use it to perform See-Saw, by Dan Harlan. The jokers help prevent me from ruining the rest of my deck. Cheers, JTM

who else doesnt want the dvd?

The Distortion gimmick can be bought, separately, on October 1st. However, it is only available to those who have already bought the DVD. The same will apply to the Panic gimmick, but, I'm not sure when that will be made available. I don't think that the gimmick and the accompanying DVD...

Connected by Peter Harrison :: REVIEWED

Too bad there's no theory11-esque return policy. On ebay, it’s available for about $20, so I'm sure some will be willing to pay for it; just be sure to include the gratuitous and fictitious trailer :D. I'm thoroughly disappointed with it, and it's made me disgusted with the effect, though...
