    Best Close-up Pad?

I only use a close-up pad when I need to, because I perform bar magic, and well, the bars aren't always dry enough to TRUST in a ribbon spread. The style of pad does matter to me. I used the Apollo close up pads for YEARS. The problem is, after normal wear and tear, it DOES seperate itself from...

    The Bee Stingers

Hey guys... I perform bar magic 4 nights a week...it's my jobby job... And let me just give you an example of just HOW good these cards really are... I was performing an ACR the other night, and as I removed the sharpie for the spectator to sign the card, some drunkie drunkerson spilled her...

t11.bulletin : THE SNAP CHANGE - Michael Hankins

I've used the triple snap change in my personal routine for almost 2 years now...as an idea that "here is your card, oh maybe this one (change #1)...you mean it's NOT your card? Ohhhh it was YOUR card? (gesture to other spectator who signed that card, as all attention goes towards that...

Thursday Night Roundtable - The Top Change

Hey guys, so I just typed a whole buncha mess about the Top Change and then accidently went back a page...losing it all...soooooo heere it goes again... So I use the top change 10+ times during my shows. I use it for several different effects including card under glass, an ACR, 2 card monte and...

    Ellusionist Or theory11

I think the important question that has NOT been asked yet is: I will only use the Arcane deck for my discussion because of how much hype they have had. How many of you actually perform a regular gig? The reason I ask is because to me, popping $7 on one deck of Arcanes is absolutely nuts. I...

The Harbor Change by Michael Hankins

Creeper... I am glad this was brought back up. I am getting a lot of PMs both on here and in the forums on the Magic Cafe about this being the similar, if not the same as a change by Ed Marlo called the Aerial Change. The idea for the Aerial Change is: card is shown on deck, dropped in hands...

Expert at the Card Table by Wesley James

I think when the timing is right, Erdnase WILL be brought to life on DVD. Look at what Paul Wilson did with Royal Road. That is a GREAT disk set. I also feel that because we are (unfortunately) moving into a digital era, the only way to keep the classics alive will be to release them in digital...

The Harbor Change by Michael Hankins

Phil, I wouldn't call anything I do an IMPROVEMENT over Marlo...but I will say that the change is just one aspect of what "Harbor" is all about. It is all in the handling. And with my handling, not only will you have access to just one color change, you have access to so much more including...

    Magic Shops

I was very fortunate to live just a few miles away from Denny & Lee's Magic Studio in Baltimore Md...well now it is in Rosedale MD. industrialchild is more than right. Living near an actual magic shop is priceless! Check to see if they have a magic club, where you can perform, share ideas etc...

    How Can I Become Famous

But let us not forget the whole reason Blaine IS famous. He performed with a folding quarter, cigarette through quarter, a rising deck, a balducci levitation and 2 card monte. THAT is what made him famous. His "stunts" started after that. Be that kid at the conventions that all the other...

The Harbor Change by Michael Hankins

Actually, its even better to drop the deck into the spectator's hands and have the card change...talk about them flipping out...they might even punch you in the throat or buy you a box of Lucky Charms...I prefer the later...hope this helps!!!!
