When I was working in the restaurant, there was always someone peeking over from behind me, so I really only worked on angle friendly effects (acr, Biddle, predictions etc). Nearly all of my walk around card effects are impromptu and angle proof now.

I came up with a nice set of opening remarks that set me up for a simple silk TT appearance and vanish (using a 12" diamond silk). The reactions are fantastic.

You could do this with certain types of paper, but not well with regular printer paper. Photo paper might work - I'd have to try it. Cards work really well for it.
