    Tight Situation

When I was working in the restaurant, there was always someone peeking over from behind me, so I really only worked on angle friendly effects (acr, Biddle, predictions etc). Nearly all of my walk around card effects are impromptu and angle proof now.

Saturday Night Contest - Fake Exposure

I'm short on time tonight, but here was my attempt. I only had time for one take and it was a bit of a fail, but we laughed pretty hard. Maybe you had to be here. ;) Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPlStq4QWp4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPlStq4QWp4

    The Perfect Opener?

I came up with a nice set of opening remarks that set me up for a simple silk TT appearance and vanish (using a 12" diamond silk). The reactions are fantastic.

Yesterday's Gig - Bring on the Rain!

I you really want to do something, you can offer them a discount on next year show. Perhaps free 30 minutes of balloons or 15% off etc. The will also help snag that reply booking. That stink tho!

Saturday Night Contest - Fake Magic Exposure v2

Sorry to dig up an old thread (didn't feel the need to make a new one). But I just had to share a post that I recently received on my entry video for Dresscode. "you FAIL i have the trick and that is not how it is done you suck at life" lol I have received a ton of negative feedback. Funny...

Performing for money ... plz help !

Building a show takes some time. As you part of the Edmonton magic club? There's lots of great wisdom and experience there. Whyte Ave is an interesting place to start. But you need to work on your own and presentation.

    Ref4m

You could do this with certain types of paper, but not well with regular printer paper. Photo paper might work - I'd have to try it. Cards work really well for it.

    REF4M by Blake Vogt?

Well, I not the first, as Hoodwinked is the same method, but only tears the card in two. Angle proof a well. ;)

    My Embarrassing Concern.......

Those two are exactly what I was going to post ha ha. Make sure you practice your script so you know it off by heart. And acting lessons will help you present without sounding like you are reciting lines. Take public speaking courses, and perform as much as you can. And also take your...

    REF4M by Blake Vogt?

You can't see it, but I'm giving you a the standing ovation for the thought in that post. I had the same idea about the dupe. Perhaps I don't see this as cynically because I actually use Hoodwinked (same method, but just rips the card in two). It gets great reactions. It's a great effect. There...

    REF4M by Blake Vogt?

This is like a two part version of Hoodwinked. That's excellent. I use Hoodwinked quite often for a quick impromptu t&r. It works very well and in real situations people just stare dumbfounded when you put the pieces in their hands. Adding a second year just makes it that much more effective and...
