Can I ask why it matters? The gap will last for barely a second, and your hand will be in motion, so no one will really catch it. Besides, your thumb, index, and middle fingers of the hand with the deck will be covering the gap, and the entire hand that is taking the card will be covering it...

Interesting. I was thinking of something like bio freeze or something that will quickly out a layer of old on to the card, allowing you to feel your way to it. Granted, you could just put a piece of wax and feel for that.

I'm sure people can not like you, and still like your magic at the same time, though the odds of that happening are meh. I mean, there are a couple magicians who I don't like to watch or follow etc. but I still enjoy their magic.

So if the wax does discolour, I could probably just use an eraser and blank it again, so not too much of a problem. Oh and I noticed :D no problem!
