No, I would use windows movie maker for free, or Lightworks, which is also free. I might also ask a friend who owns a high end vidoe editing software, such as sony vegas pro, if I could use it for a bit over at his house, or if he wants to edit it for me.

I tried this with the pass. It works great! Probably works with all sleights that require a more fluid action. Been annoying my sister with it all day. I just casually show her a card, and she never catches the pass, but it annoys her since she is so confused as to how it changed.

If your act or style is comedic than of course. If it is Super Serious, you don't want to confuse the audience. However, like most people, it is probably somewhere in between, so a couple jokes aren't hurting anyone.
