102nd force? Where can I find that?

Penn & Teller just fooled magicians for no apparent reason.

One thing I would like to point out is that there words do not relate to all magicians, and definitely fly over the heads of laymen. I mean, there is stuff they said that is so blatently obvious to us, but I never realized before I got deep into magic.

    GRADUATION CARD TRICK

Well these cards aren't a jumbo deck they are a bit over a foot tall. Riffle force would never work on cards that big.

Penn & Teller just fooled magicians for no apparent reason.

Let me start by saying that performing Magic is a gift - for reasons we all love. However, I can't help but feel that performing magic can also be a curse, because it ruins "normal" magic that was intended for laymen. I try and be a good spectator and not grill someones hands, and get involved...

Angles with many spectators and misdirection

Except if its your family >_< Always remember to say something stupid if its your family. The other day - I literally stopped midway in my performance to my super dirtbag-of-a-spectator uncle because he wouldn't stop grilling my hand, pointed at a window said "Is that an eagle?" and did the...

    GRADUATION CARD TRICK

Definitely possible if you practice. Get cards with a smooth finish if possible. However, I would really suggest using a simpler force. Classic force should be super easy with giant cards, since you just have to know where it is. Start with the card on top, cut the deck, and put the card in...

Angles with many spectators and misdirection

You don't need to start by looking at the cards. Just find an excuse to distract your spectators. Best thing to do is make them interact. For example, lets say I need to catch a break under the second card. I might gesture with the deck to a spectator, and ask his name. If there are multiple, I...

No moves, no gimmicks, not a marked deck, no stacking, no memorizing? If someone had two decks, you could do this impromptu, or close to impromptu? If so, that might be the greatest DAID trick in the book. More likely though, I'm assuming there is some sort of falsification (for lack of a...

    We can't let magic die

Just because magic is changing, doesn't mean its dying. I have to completely disagree with you. More and more people are entering magic everyday. As for Insta/YouTube magic, magic for a camera does not nearly get the same reaction as magic for people. You need to understand that street magic is...

How to eliminate exposure and why it will never happen

First off, I would just like to say this (It is ot disagreeing with you at all, I just want to put it out there). I feel like there is a large gap between exposure and teaching magic. Why shouldn't I be able to teach magic - because someone might expose it? If I'm teaching it right, and to the...

    Cultural Effects of Magic

That seems great - do they have any online books, because I'm going to need to research them. Even just small documents would work (eg, a photo of a document concerning gambling and card sharks)

    Cultural Effects of Magic

Hey guys, So for my end of the year history project, we get to choose and research our own topic. I'm choosing the cultural effect of magic (if I can find enough info on it). Any good books and/or reliable websites I could use - Specifically books on the art of magic, not the actual tricks and...

    Cards became clumpy

Also, look at the side of the deck, or spread it out face up in different groups and see if there are some cards that cause the issues. Sometimes, a few or even just one card will be damaged, and mess up certain moves.

    Cards became clumpy

Hmm, how long ago did you buy them, and how much have you used them? It is possible that there was a shipping or even a manufacturing error. Also, where'd you buy them from?

    Performing the trick..

Exactly what I was trying to say. How does one know if a trick is going to work if it has never been seen? I mean, the steering wheel tray was probably a good idea on paper, but not really in reality.

    Performing the trick..

Well, if it's free, you might as well release it here on the marketplace - you'll get a better audience. If you're absoluteley using a different person to do the performance, I suggest having your friend and you film it together, one does the trick, one explains it.

    Cards became clumpy

Try breaking them in and airing them out. Here's what I would do: Give them a good wash (as in the Vegas style wash, don't actually wash your cards xD) Cut them a few times. Start giving them riffle shuffles w/ the Bridge. I would do it 5 times, alternating face up and face down (ten times...
