    Magic Books

Someone has probably already said it and I know it is on the main list but I just bought Scripting Magic by Pete McCabe and love it. It definitely takes the average magician who just stands and does tricks to the next level. It is $40.00 but well worth the price and it is hard cover.

The Proper Way To Deal With Heckler

Toby, although that is funny it has to be used in the proper setting and the environment has to be just right. Comedians know when and how to do this. Usually they don't throw a blow like this until they have finally had enough. Go ahead and use that out on the street somewhere or at a paying...

    Teen Rides bike on Water

The tires were lubricated with oil which everyone knows stays on top of the water, thus allowing him and the bike to stay on the surface. Amazing I think. Ha Ha.

    A Magician´s Journal-"Practical Class"-July 17

That is a great story Luis. I hope the student appreciates what you have done and that as he gets better and better and that he does not forget you as he becomes successful. I too have mentored a few beginners from our local club. One thing they all seem to do is want to purchase tons and tons...

    The Magician and the Apprentice

Well said Draven. I have one professional buddy and he tells me all of the time that he is constantly on the phone all day calling repeat clients and trying to book new ones. He spends money on advertising and knows to make money you have to be willing to travel. It is not an easy road.

    Performance anxiety

As mentioned, start out with a self working effect to calm your nerves and get to know the people. The shaky or sweaty hands will go away eventually after you get used to performing for strangers. I was no different from you. My hands would sweat so bad and shake that I could not do anything. It...

    Can you iron silks?

Yes...do it on a cool setting though. Gradually warm it up if you are not getting the wrinkles out.

    I'm Back from Vegas!

Thanks Luis. We will have to chat sometime. David, I had heard the same thing about Denny and Lee....maybe the one in Maryland is better but the one in Vegas did not impress me that much at all. I've been in a lot of magic shops and it was average at best. They had an average selection of...

    I'm Back from Vegas!

He spoke very little. I wanted to perform one of my close up effects for him, however, there was a mob of people and everyone was pushing and shoving to get pics and autographs. He only gave each person about 5 seconds of his time so I don't think the crowd would have been too happy with me if I...

    I'm Back from Vegas!

I just returned a day ago from my first trip to Vegas. It was OUTSTANDING! I could write a novel on what all I did in 3 days but I'll just make a list of some of the highlights so people do not get bored. 3 days was about the amount of time to stay because I was burnt out by the end of day 3...

Tenkai or throw vanish credit / debit cards while standing in grocery store. People around me probably think something is wrong with me. Ha Ha. Especially since I am 33.

    What are your other hobbies?

I really enjoy going to the movie theater and catching new releases about twice a month with my wife and kids. I'm not really good at it but love to get out and golf every now and then. Video Editing / Filming are becoming more and more of a passion for me. I just edited and filmed 2 new magic...

New Bicycle® Website - Launched Today!

This was a huge step forward gentleman ( and I use that term loosely ). Congratulations! I would love to see a longer video on how the cards are made in more depth. I understand though that the company may not wish to share that.
