    One More Idea

I think the idea is good, but the video editing needs work. I'm not sure you should be doing strong black screen cut aways during the performance especially if you are trying to sell a trick. They are very distracting. Remember to sell me on the magic trick, not your fancy camera effects...

a trick based on a video game (Assassin's Creed)

Dude, loved it! One of my favorite video game franchises, and certainly a great performance. Keep up the good work!

Breaking The Rules For Music In Magic Presentation

The only "rule" for music Ashley is that the music selection should in no way overpower the magic being presented. The music should complement, or work with but never outshine. For that reason many performers chose to use instrumental pieces, but that isn't necessarily the standard. Go with...

    Detach Rick Lax Performance

Well the entire what's your character vs no character argument belongs only in the groups who are serious about being a professional magician. If you just want to do some magic and entertain friends, family, or have something cool to do at the next party you go to then I don't think character...

    Detach Rick Lax Performance

I'm not sure what I just watched... Did you inflate the balloon then pull the stem off of it, then reattach it? I'm not familiar with the effect but I think it would probably play better if you could separate your hands more. As it is it looks like your trying to cover something up too much.

    Having trouble.

Well if you're going to go table hopping then I would recommend you figure out 10 effects that you can do that require little to no reset time, and can be carried about easily on your person. You'll take those 10 effects and separate them into two acts of anywhere from four to six tricks per...

Business Card design...any graphics people here?

Exactly Randy. My thinking exactly. The social networking links, as an example, shouldn't be on your card they should be on your website. Your website, however, should be on your card. People don't really read your business card. They check for a name, and possibly what you do but after...

Matt: First and and for most please understand and know that I have nothing but respect for you. You've got good solid contributions to the forum here, and so far haven't ever given me any grounds to suspect your a raving lunatic. Having said that, I've got a few replies to your post that I...

Business Card design...any graphics people here?

No offense taken. Not to offend you but I couldn't care less what you think of my card. Or your judgments on my art. My card works for me (obviously) and there is nothing lacking or wrong with it.

Business Card design...any graphics people here?

Your name needs to be in a different color, possibly red, to make it stand out against the background. I'd say the same thing goes for your job titles Entertainer...blah blah blah. But your name is way more important. As a stylistic approach, what ever color you use, and I'm still gravitating...

Draven Reviews: Solitary by Cameron Francis

The difference in the set up is minimal, but honestly man I can't really answer that without getting into details that would expose the effect. It does make for one hell of a nice take away gift though.

Business Card design...any graphics people here?

Do NOT include as much information as possible. People 1) Don't care. and 2) Will NEVER read it. What you need is your NAME, CONTACT NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS, WEBSITE, and possibly a LOGO. That's it. Anymore is a waste.

Draven Reviews: Solitary by Cameron Francis

Yeah, pretty much. If you don't hand it out as a gift afterwords. Otherwise it takes like all of 10 seconds to prep a new one. So you can start off the night with a few set to go, and then if you run out... spend a minute and you've got a dozen more ready to roll.
