I would suggest talking to Dan Sperry for some advice :)

If you take the time to learn the sleights and all the little nuances that make them look good then you will have a whole list of tricks open to you without needing gimmicks. Take the time to learn the basics.

I really was left wanting with the show. It was clear he was using stooges and worst still the actors didn't react in a way we all would if a random guy took our I.D. and put it behind glass. As for the main tricks from the two shows...It was a hard sell even before I saw it. Afterwards however...

I would suggest looking at Chapter 1 of Expert Card Technique by Hugard and Braue, or if video is more your thing Jason England has some great advice in his double lift download and he is great about giving advice if you still need help after that

The sad part about it is anyone that can halfway shuffle a deck posts "tutorials" teaching sloppy magic to people who then go out and perform sloppy magic. Making it harder for real hard working magicians to get taken seriously.
