    Stage Magic

FOO:L I think I see what you mean :) Magic and Showmanship will be my next purchase. DannyT - Thanks for the advice! I don't plan on doing cookie cutter, I just said if I was going to buy a Russian Roulette type effect I would probably get it. It's inexpensive and looks pretty cool. Luis -...

    Stage Magic

FOO:L Thank you for your input. I will drop the first effect and start with One in a million. Although I don't know about the stage hypnosis. First let me clarify something. I am doing a lot of mentalism in this routine because I feel it would fit together nicely with the effects I want to...

    Stage Magic

Whoa, Smash and Stab does look great... but so expensive!! If I had to pay for the product I feel I'd rather go with Dan Sperry's Cookie Cutter. Also, I don't think a Russian Roulette would go well with High School students in the Bible belt. emagician - thanks for the tip, hopefully...

    Stage Magic

Hey everyone! I've been very lucky in attaining gig's where I can perform this amazing art. I've just been asked to open for a Battle of the Bands at a local highschool. There will be a stage and I'll have about 25-30 minutes to do my routine. The audience will range from 12 year olds to 17...

    Need Help - Flip Mino

Hey dude, I found a movie editor at Target for 20 bucks, and it works great. It's called Family Movie Creator. It takes any format, and is actually quite nice. Just thought I would share that

Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable with Homer Liwag

Homer, your Trilogy one on one got me into coin magic, and I think everything you do is smooth and beautiful.. So my questions.. 1. What are the thought processes when coming up with a new effect, do you start from scratch or build off another principle? 2. Do you take the same approach...

    carbon paper help

So you've messed around with distance and flame, but have you tried not holding it as long on the flame? The way I do it, is I take off two cards and barely pass it over the tip of the flame 2-3 times... like passing your finger through it (but on top). For me this sufficiently marks the card...

    A Quick ACR Question

Ah, but can you not tag it on the end of an ACR? And yes... it's flippin' amazing.

    Stage Magic For Schools

Thanks guys! The group I'm performing for would be 7th - 12th graders, for about 45 minutes to an hour. If schools wouldn't like needle swallowing then they wouldn't like THREAD. Thanks for all the advice and help! Luis I don't know if I should produce a bottle of wine.. haha. Gotta...

    Stage Magic For Schools

Hey guys, So I've recently been invited to come and do an assembly for a school that I've been performing at (for their art appreciation class). Luckily I have a family member that works at the school and was able to talk about it and spread the word (as well as the kids I've performed...

    A Quick ACR Question

Have you seen David Blaine's ACR? He has the spectator put it in the middle, and it pops to the top. Then, instead of reinserting he throws a torn and restored into it! I think that is a great way to end, whether you have the card pop to the top once or twice or 230498 times like I've seen...

Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable with Jason England

Jason 1. What do you think of hypnotism used in a magic routine? 2. How would you help an amateur magician trying to make it into a profession? 3. If you could get a six-player poker game going with anyone (alive/or dead) who would it be? Thanks for the awesome chance to pick your...

    Impromptu Battle?

Hey guys, who would be up for this. Has to be live, preferably not cards but would be ok. No gimmicks, should be little or no setup. Can be for family or friends if you're scared to do it to randoms.

    Beginner Hypnosis

Thanks guys. I would love to study under a professional! But, alas... the only ones I know are in the UK. I live in AL, and there is basically no magic/hypnosis/anything here.
