Showing a demonstration of pain endurance you take a business card and a straight pin and put them on the table. You slam your hand through the pin and have the business card stabbed into your palm. You pull the pin out and give it and the business card to your spectators.

Is there a certain type of personal criteria that has to be met before you will perform an effect? Dan - Do you ever feel rushed to create an effect for David because of certain deadlines, and in turn feel the effect won't be as good as if you had more time?

Romeo - Thanks for the advice man! I've just recently watched Doc Eason's "Bar Magic" and see a WHOLE new world of magic. The way he handles everything, and performs is miraculous. The performances were worth the cost of the DVD easily!

The thing is... he didn't tear it.. and let the people fold it themselves.. He must have done it for 2 specials then, because it was definitely on 'What is Magic?"

I would strongly recommend getting AoA FIRST. I've heard mixed things of TA. My favorite effect that David did in "What is Magic?" (other than the bullet catch) was where he had a spec write down a name and fold it up, then lit it on fire and had it appear on his body... SICK

Do you have a certain checklist for creating an effect? Would you rather do magic that has to have a little preparation for a killer effect, or an impromptu effect that has a lesser reaction? What would you recommend to everyone wanting to create their own effects?
