There is Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. After Effects is for effects more than editing... but the prices range over 1,000$. There is Adobe Premiere Elements which is a lighter version of the Pro version but is still a great editing software for a cheaper price! Mitch

They're the same camera aside from 30i capturing. The HV20 shoots in 24p whereas the HV30 shoots in both 24p and 30i. Yet on both it's not true 24p. For the price, the HV20 is a better buy. Remember, HD doesn't always mean better quality guys! The sensors are what distinguish the best...

There is always Windows Movie Maker for a basic program. It comes with Windows. Sony Vegas is a great prosumer editing program if you'd want to check that out! Mitch
