My character is an offshoot of several personality traits. Wit and sarcasm play a big role in a lot of my tricks, I've always been both quick and smart enough to effectively be sarcastic in a subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) way. Always play to your strengths, eh? Intelligence helps mold...

I don't have a restaurant job...but I do have this same case and want to second it. It is wonderful for holding everything you need. It's relatively inexpensive as far as cases go and isn't very bulky either. I'm pretty sure it's aluminum too, so it's very light-even when full. -Rik

I don't know about CC2 or AoM, don't own either. Just using muscle memory being able to lift two cards is something my friend developed. I do a push-off, still not perfect but performable (brief eye contact while I execute...misdirection is fun). I also use the pinky count for triple lifts...

I have to agree that there is no justification for the shrinking. If you have or can create a presentation around it so that shrinking it makes sense, then it looks decent. In the minute I thought about it though (admittedly not enough time) there were no justifiable reasons to shrinking a deck...

Just moving cards in absurd ways can help spark something. Start with something familiar and then try to do something you've never seen, 90+% of the time it fails or doesn't look good. But every once in a while you get somewhere. BAWI has good suggestions too, I like stopping in the middle...
