    Portal Performance

A visual puzzle. Boring, not magical, and what was up with the music? God I hate andthensome... This is exactly why, this is what it turns "magicians" into.

    True Review

As far as I'm concerned, Dunn's Deal is a dud. It's a ripoff of another OotW effect - by that I mean, the method to it is EXACTLY the same, except not as well thought out; it just uses a different presentation. It could be so much more, it really is a shocker in my book though. By itself, and...

    Downfall by Dan Hauss

Surely this is a good thing? Perform for a night in a bar and you'll get more out of it than you would practicing for a week at home, guaranteed.

    Arrcos, Aladdins or Wynn's.

Whatever you feel like. Honestly, different decks respond better to different people. I personally don't find Arrcos fantastic, I prefer Aladdins over the other two. Some people really like Wynns - they're certainly interesting cards. Other people might hate the plastic feel of Aladdins, despite...

    Paper Engine?

If you want to get the most out of it, you will have to read it multiple times. I've read the Gravity Half Pass description half a dozen times and noticed something different every time. You definitely do need to concentrate and study it. But it's a great book.

    Juggling and Flourishing

@ cbols23 and SplitHeavens: What, then, in your opinion, is the difference between card juggling and flourishing? NexusMagic described a definition of juggling: To juggle to keep more than 2 activities in motion; to juggle objects or perform other tricks displaying manual dexterity. Is this...

    Magic in your Hand

It may just be because I'm currently watching The Dreamers, but did anyone think of something else when they read "Magic in your hand"?

    Advocate

Why are you into magic? That screams of laziness and wanting shortcuts. READ: You can't be bothered to improve your performance skills.

    Juggling and Flourishing

That would be us, Mr Zsasz. We do indeed meet and do flourishes, but it's not at all what we "just" do ^.^ A large part of it is just socialising, jamming, showing new flourishes, making vids, etc. Most of us also perform magic though, so there are always (public) performances, brainstorming...

    Juggling and Flourishing

Yes, I'd say so. A lot of people I know consider flourishing to be card juggling. It's a fairly common term, actually, especially amongst older magicians. I don't agree completely. I think that 95% of flourishing is simply card juggling. Something interesting to me would be: if you don't...

    Graphic - Mello

Hey Matt, thanks for the quick reply. Hmm, that makes me think a little bit. That's not exactly what I meant, though - but I don't want to elaborate because I don't want to be fishing for the method (and I don't think it would be possible to answer my question exactly without confirming /...

    Erdnase change voting open!

To be honest I didn't like either, both could use improvement really. Both have the big problem of: you guys know what showmanship is, it just goes out the window when you're performing the sleight. chris, your lead-up to the sliding motions looked nice, and I was ready for a nice Erdnase (for...

Impromptorn - David Fulde :: Review

Can the crease restorations be applied to different T&Rs (different methods)? Or is it specifically made for the methodology of Impromptorn? I'm not sure I'm ready to let go of The Reformation just yet ^^
