Incidentally, I feel the need to say that there's no such thing as a "best" closer. You take an effect with closing potential, make it strong, and close with it. That's how you get good closers.

I currently close my parlour set with Out of this World. The other routine I would want to close with is Paul Vigil's (Sympathy for the Devil) Cards.

I didn't start magic till I was 16, so you're not far behind. And a lot of guys have started much later. As far as cards go it's probably worth just going through custom cards and trying them out - different things really do work for different people.
