    Anyone familiar with this move?

If the object is to reverse the bottom card to the top, then its very similar ( and inferior ) technique to a reversal explained in Expert Card Technique, the name escapes me, but its done in the act of overhand shuffling the deck, which covers the sound. In this video, the card will be heard...

    Morocco

Morroco actually has many stage magicians in it. I don't know names, but look for circuses, you'll find them there. Lots of dove acts, and a little bit of card manipulation. I know of 2 magicians there. Bear in mind that the magic is pretty old school, and its stage in particular.

    New 1-on-1 $9.95?

Many magicians enjoyed the exclusivity of doing this move, because its published in an old book ignored by many magicians today. Gary Ouellet's The Pass book. I don't know if its in Totally out of Control, I don't have it, but reading the description and trying the move out, its not the...

    Practice, practice, practice, and perform...

Oh! I'm sorry, haha. I misunderstood you. To add on Shodan's post, I perform primarly in college campus and in a cafe' which has PC gaming networks, cafe, pool .. etc. You can do street magic as well. Find a good corner, put a table so you "mark your spot". This could be tough at first, but...

    Daniel Madison 1-on-1's?

Did you see him excuting the move to judge him? And, anyone experienced at cheating at the card table knows that accidents happen, and the result is very, very bad. Someone can miss up a second deal, and have his hand cut off ( see Ortiz's book on Gambling for more info ). Even when doing...

    Practice, practice, practice, and perform...

Its VERY simple: You practice until you are comfortable with the trick, then you perform it. The more you go in magic, the higher your standard's of "comfortable with the trick" will be. If you don't perform, why the heck practicing? Don't feel obligated to practice, no one forces you, just...

    Ego change sound problems?

Referring to the original description in Jean Hugard's Card Manipulations, you'll a tiny detail in the clean up that is very, very important for a rapid, less noisy clean up. I can't go into it without exposing, but its enough to say that the right hand plays a major role in the clean up, not...

    Learn the pass?

Yes, Andew used to be working ( and living ) in Saudi Arabia ( in Riyadh, same city as mine! )for a quite some time, he even speaks the language fluently ( spelling )! I had alot of chatting with him over PMs at the magic cafe. I want to get some moves and effects down ( his in particular )...

    Learn the pass?

Brad, I just updated my profile, you can see where I live right above my post count. As you can see, I'm kinda far from the magic scene. Being a medical student, and since almost all magic's physicians are great magicians ( Daley, Bedwell, Krenzel .. etc ), I kinda have high hopes for...

    Magic trick names are weird

Bruce Cervon's Spectator Cuts the Aces. Then Spectator Cuts the Aces 2, then Spectator cuts the Aces 3. Or, Ed Marlo, *insert name of plot here*, then: Method 1, Method 2, Method 3 ... Method 192 Pretty creative names if you ask me.

    Dan Harlan arrested

Very wierd, he's an extremly creative guy and very good magician, I can't see why he did this. Shame, I use a move by him alot of time.

    3 most deceptive controls

No, there are invisible passes. Spectator burns the deck, and its done. Its one of the most visual color changes in magic, no cover at all, pure camera trick. Ken Krenzel has a tape on it, which looks like trick photography. Richard Kaufman's pass is amazing, and many others like Ed Marlo...

    The Learned Pig?

@ 3ofClubs93: Check Paul Rosini's Magical Gems ( I think this is the name ). Also, check Fred Braue/Hugard Miracle Methods booklet, there is one on stacking and culling. If you want to do gambling demostrations where you show off dealing poker hands, this is an amazing booklet. Other books are...

    Learn the pass?

Problem is many people don't have any magician nearby. I developed a good understanding on the pass, with no magician input on it. I'm not saying its not needed, in fact, if I had a magician input that would definatly decrease the learning curve. I studied the sources, and tested the pass...

    Learn the pass?

Larry Jennings was darn naive then! He did a riffle pass, and the spectator wasnt watching. He cut the deck, told her to look, and did the riffle pass again ( this story is taken from R. Paul Wilson's ebook West Caost Pass ). Learn smoothness, then strive for speed. Speed is important for a...

    Raise rise? Elevator?

The move is not the hardest in card magic at all. If you know your way through cards, you'll find it an average diffeculty move. Personally, I did it the first time I saw how its done in the DVD. However, its a move thats easy to do, but will take some practice to do well smoothly, and make it...

    1-on-1 Card Fundamentals Part Two

You might "need" one DL technique, but you are waay limiting yourself by learning one, and one only. Thanks for the review.
