I don't consider you a card magician without this book. It's where my "serious" card magic got its start, and beyond Card College, I don't hink there's anything better. Get it. It'll give you some ideas, andm maybe you'll even get some usable material from it, even though it is a little "dated".

If anything, a more modern version of some of the older books- Royal Road, Bobo's, etc. Or a whole load of books on theory and presentation. Just a whole book of essays. I love reading essays on magic... a whole book of them would be great; yes, I know about Strong Magic, Maximum...

Last year my teachers wouldn't let me have cards, either, so I know how you feel. But this year the teachers don't mind at all if I do a few tricks every once in a while... in fact, they enjoy it. Thanks a lot for the compliments!

Not to ruin the vibe here, but the Black Tiger only handles well for about a day... far less than a standard Bike. For the cost, they're simply not worth it. Maybe I got a bad deck, though.

Anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour each night. I don't practice a whole bunch, as I have other stuff to do. I spend even less time rehearsing. That's why it takes me so long to add a new effect into my routine/ repoutoire.

And there are 4 suits, like seasons. 13 different values, which represent the lunar cycle. 52 cards in a deck, 52 weeks in a year. If you add up the values of the cards of a deck, it equals 364.

I'm not too worried about it. If a magician gets into the art the wrong, that's their fault, not mine. Shouldn't concern me.

I used to do it all the time. They're focused on the magic, it's a thin piece of cardboard... they're not focused on their pockets.
