    Why?

I can't really help you with what to use for stories as it's not something I regularly do. I'd recommend watching some performances of magicians who do this a lot for inspiration. In an Ambitious card routine i'll usually riffle or 'snap' the deck. If I do this it's possible that I could have...

    Why?

If you are going to use a basic presentation like that then I wouldn't recommend using a script, it will appear to be very forced. If you feel that this is too boring there is another alternative. You can use a story of some sort. Chad Nelson's Free Fall from Surfaced is a good example of...

    Why?

I can see a couple of potential problems with this presentation. This is the first problem, most spectators don't know gimmicked cards exist, you have now suggested to them that they do. This means they could now think 'he's using trick cards'. The fact that you have assured the...

    Why?

It would be helpful to know what your patter is, we can't say if it's good or not without knowing what it is. I don't really use a lot of patter with Reset and it get's a great reaction anyway.

    Why?

You haven't really given enough information for us to be able to work out what your problem is. It would be helpful to know where you are performing these effects and what presentation you are using. Sometimes longer routines and more complicated routines are impressive to magicians but can...

Where can I learn the G.O.A.T. change?

The change Justin Miller uses is Jack Carpenter's Impulse change. I think the GOAT change is similar to the Impulse change. I don't think it's the same as the Carolina change even though it looks very similar. Dan and Dave use their Centre double lift to get ready to do the change, I don't...

    Stopping Exposure on YouTube

I can assure you my opinions would hold up, I know that if I ever released anything I would have to accept that it will be available for free on the internet, this happens when you release anything. A magic effect, music, a movie etc. I would be counting on people having enough respect for the...

    Stopping Exposure on YouTube

You know this subject is brought up every single week? We know about the problem and there's nothing we can do about it. They could not go to Jail for several reasons. Firstly, you can't copyright the method to a effect. If somebody teaches it on Youtube they have not done anything to break...

    Card tricks for 50 spectators

Did you even think about this or did you just list the first tricks that came into your head? I would not use Gaff Cards, once somebody shouts out something about you using fake cards everybody will join in and the performance is over. The Queens for 50 people? you can't be serious. The...

    Dangerous or Surfaced? Help please.

You should not dismiss a DVD simply because you aren't capable of performing the material on it. I have both and personally, I like Surfaced more. The Clip Shift and the 26 Shift have so many applications and will take your magic to the next level. The Clip Shift can be used as a vanish...

    Card tricks for 50 spectators

Personally, I would not perform in this situation. I only perform for people who are interested in seeing magic. Many of the kids may not be and might just try to cause trouble. If you do decide to do it I would make sure you pick routines that are largely free of sleight of hand. There's...

    Double Lifts

I completely agree with this. They all say you should try and turn over a double the same way a spectator might turn over a card but I believe this is very flawed thinking. You are a magician, Spectators don't expect you to handle cards how they would. If you do a very flashy double like...

    The Trilogy

I think there are 100 sleights on it however some of them are not really taught, just shown. E.g. The Aaron Fisher one handed popover move is only covered very briefly. I think if you order from Penguin you will get the booklet and the case but it's better to order from Dan and Dave...

    An idea for an effect...

Combining all these effects would be completely over the top and would probably just look stupid. You're pulse has stopped then there's blood and smoke etc I think it would just look comical if all this stuff was happening at once. Control is an incedibly powerful effect by itself and may be...

    Lu Chen's card trick...

When you post something on a public forum it is expected that people will give their opinions on it. If you don't want this to happen you shouldn't post it. d34thg0d should have backed up why he didn't like it but he is entitled to have this view. When somebody says it's a video of the...

    Most skilled person

I guess that depends on your definition of skill. I would consider creativity a skill a as well. In pure technical skill he is the best but in skill in other ares there are quite a few people above him.

    Most skilled person

These threads always end up with people saying whoever happens to be their favourite. It's impossible to say if De'vo or Jerry is best. In the XCM style there's just too much variety to pick one person as being best In the Flourishing/Multi Packet 2 handed cuts style i'd say the Bucks...

David Blaine performing across the US

Several people post a serious reply to your post and all you can do is make an idiotic sarastic remark about one line from the post. Did you even read the rest of it? This is obviously the most important part of the post which you chose to ignore.

    1-on-1 DVD?

I don't want a 1 on 1 DVD at all. It's completely pointless. I would prefer the T11 team to be working on new stuff instead of putting old stuff on DVD's.

    Impromptu or Gimmicked Rising Card

I think the best one is the standard rising card gimmicked deck that can be found just about everywhere. I've yet to see an impromptu rising card that looks anywhere near as good.
