Cool. I think the System would be good if I learned the basics already. But before that do you think I should try out Xtreme Beginnerz on Ellusionist? It has tons of stuff on there that could be useful for me before The System. Let me know what you think.:D
actually magiclemonbird, im not going to order them until about a few weeks before my birthday (August 7th). But I'm still gonna order Tally Ho's from this site, but get the aladdins and such on dananddave.
i would say no. the reason why is because it starts to look bad (the edges) once you use them for a week or so. The edges turn from black to white and looks really horrible. However if you just want them to collect, than that's fine, but if you want to do serious magic with them or flourishing...
alright, thanks. but I do know most of the basics, like one handed cuts, false cuts, spreads, fans, pretty much all the basics. but I appreciate your help, i dont think I'll get the system until I'm more prepared.
Hey everyone. I have a new question for you all (at least if you own The System), what do you guys think about it? Please give me details on why you think it's good/bad in any way. I'm getting into flourishing and I want to know if this is a bad buy, good buy, or great buy. Thanks everyone...
thanks everyone for your opinions. I think I will go for the aladdins based on almost everyone in this thread. However I might just get arrco's as well for the heck of it, you can never have too many cards! haha (maybe).
to visualartist:
It's not necessarily true. You see, but you might already know this, that cards have different stocks and finishes that others might prefer more than others. Let's say you are blindfolded, and you have no idea which deck you are picking up. You play around with it for a few...
thanks magiclemonbird. I was thinking along the lines of aladdins, but I was just wondering what other people thought. Cause I'm wanting to get into flourishing, so that really helped. thanks!
Hey guys. This thread might have shown up before, im not sure cause im new. But I was wonering which one of these decks (Aladdin or Arrco) you guys would prefer and why. My birthday is coming up and wanted to know which decks to buy that would be high quality and durable. I see the Buck twins...
thanks for your review velcrowe. I just ordered these cards the first day they came out and I'm still awaiting my package to arrive. I wasn't so sure if I would like them or not, but from what I saw they look and should feel pretty dang good. again, thanks for the review. from what you said I...
If I were you aaron, I would first look at Flourishes 101 section on the Trilogy like the person said above. Then, once you have that down, if you want visual learning techniques, get The System by Dan and Dave either at their own site dananddave.com or penguin magic. Then head onto some books...
Hey guys, I'm a new member here at the forums, and I was wondering what you all think of Kevin Ho's 60 page booklet called Smooth Operations sold on Dan and Dave's website. My birthday is coming up and want to know if this is a good buy. From my view it looks like something useful I could put in...
Once I first saw this deck I immediately clicked buy. These decks look fantastic and can't wait to get them in the mail (hopefully tomorrow). I'll do a review and post the link up here if anyone wants to see it. Hopefully it might help to decide whether or not you should get this deck or not.
