Hey guys! I'm a 17 year old magician/cardist here in Houston, Texas and I wanted to know if there's anyone from this community out here. I've only ever known 3 other magicians and one of them is my friend who I got into magic. If there are people here it would be pretty cool of we could try...

1) Not how you got into magic, but why magic? 2) What is the most frequent mistake you see magicians do? 3) Do you really want your audience to believe in the magic you are performing or do you just want them to be entertained?

To the left includes the magic tricks Regeneration, eXile, Dresscode, Revolution, and some flash cotton. The top includes my small but growing book collection. I now have 61+ decks of cards, my friends gave me 3 for my birthday on Friday :D (the goal is to have 100 by the end of the summer)...

So generally you would all say that flash cotton is more quick so it would be better for things such as street magic vs a large performance. Then flash paper is better for like showmanship and performing, instead of something quick. But you would all agree that you use flash paper more?

First I wanted to ask which do you guys prefer, flash paper or flash cotton, and why? Secondly I wanted to ask what is your preferred method of incorporating flash paper/cotton into your routine? Or just in general what are the best uses for it? Thank you!
