Joshua Jays complete course is a good book, however it is more focused on other kinds of magic. It does have some card tricks, it there is definitely more non card material.

I don't think it would be illegal, but people shouldn't reveal tricks that cost money on something like YouTube.

I have a book that says you can just take a regular glue stick and put a light coating on the backs of the cards. I haven't tried it though.

The T11 guardians that I bought were much thicker than the E Shadow Masters I got for Christmas, but I don't know if the retail and online versions of the guardians differ in thickness, because mine was the retail version.
