I love visual magic. I think to perform an effect, it MUST be visual, simple is key. The more simple, the more astonishing, and the more entertained the audience will be, and they'll know happened easier. It makes for a more suffisticated, and intelligent comprehension, and interpretation.

It's all good, man. We all have those 'blocks.' Just remember though, that you cannot FORCE creativity, it just comes to you. No one can just pick up a deck and create infinate amounts of wonders with it. (unless you're Jay Sankey, haha, jk). Many of these moves that you just 'come up with'...

Actually, this thread belongs more in the "Product Questions." but any-hoo... I love the ID. Very good, and the only trick deck i will ever use...ever. I recomend Jay Sankey's "Invisible." Has grat tips on almost every aspect of the deck. HE COVERS EVERYTHING!!!!!! I highly recomend it!

yeah, don't flouish unitl they look up, because they're not going to look up because the flouishing is getting in the way of them looking up, also, I think it is good to pause and gesture to your mouth after a few flouishes, because I think it gives a little more of a magical moment, but don't...

personally, I think that david blaine has very, very poor presentation. He wouldn't know the meaning of entertainment if it punched him in the face. However, I'm not a big fan of Criss either, but I do think he is a very good entertainer/performer. But that's just my opinion. :)
