Jerry Nuggets for $399 and 11 other decks

Krab1, sorry I haven't had my internet working for a while, terrifying! What I mean by the handling is try actually don't shuffle well, other than an over hand shuffle, right out of the box, the stick terribly. They don't faro at all and they clump right out of the box during a thumb and a one...

Jerry Nuggets for $399 and 11 other decks

Honestly, I hate the CARC decks. The global titans are by far the worst deck I've ever handled that claimed to be well made. The others are just decks they can't get rid of and aren't rare. With the exception of the nuggets, the skull and bones and the shooting star. I wouldn't pay that much...

    I know nothing about Mentalism...

Well now you've all confused me and after being insulted as "uninitiated" and constant pokes at others who are "not as important as you are" or have no idea what they are talking about. I have decided that studying mentalism can no way benefit me since I don't want to end up on a soap box...

    Looking to buy a book.

Ok, I'm working through the Tarbell Course now so do you feel moving from that to Mark Wilsons would be the next step?

Any street Magicians that can answer this?

I agree with slick sleights on this one. The majority if not all art should always be about self expression and pushing ones one boundaries, whether its skill or competing against yourself to create something better than before. If you don't push the boundaries, we can never move forward. I...

Can you please describe what fundamentals you speak of?

    New to Coin Magic

I made the mistake of trying to learn Alchemy as my first go at coin magic.....after THAT disaster, I got the Metal 1 and 2 DVDs and The Art of Magic by Downs (I love the Downs palm). I haven't read Bobo's but I have thumbed through Expert Coin Magic and it seems great just haven't bit the...

    I know nothing about Mentalism...

 So.....I am mainly a card worker and have started into some basic coin effects but I feel VERY embarrassed to say that I know NOTHING about mentalism and what it can do for me in a close up environment. What are the basics? What are the "worker" effects that everyone should know or...

White Lions Black Label vs Bicycle Guardians

Hey guys/gals, hoping to get some opinions and maybe some user comparisons about if you prefer the David Blaine White Lions (any color but I'm looking at the Black Label) or the Bicycle Guardians from here. I have just started to work through half a brick of the Guardians and I love them but I...

    Looking to buy a book.

Thanks! On the subject of books, if you were to pick 1 book for someone who knows little to nothing on mentalism, what would you pick?

Oh man! I'm sorry, I feel like an idiot now! I honestly posted based off the title. Sorry about that.

    Looking to buy a book.

I just bought Paul Harris's Art of Astonishment Vol. 1 and I have to say I LOVE it. It has ton of stuff that you can do with lots of random objects. I also would HIGHLY recommend the Creative Magic book by Adam Wilbur. Both are great reads without even learning any effects.

Any street Magicians that can answer this?

On a daily basis this is what I have ready: I keep 3 decks on me. All standard. 2 of the same so I have back ups and doubles for making on the fly gimmicked cards. Also, this allows me to keep track of what cards have been signed and I can replace them so I keep a full deck at all times. The...

    Best Flourishing/XCM DVDs??

I recommend the Trilogy and Dangerous 2. I really thought most of what was on the Trilogy was not useful for performances, the moves that they taught though allowed for me to modify them and be creative. Dangerous in my opinion, is not that hard. If you can do a sybil fast then you should be...

    Best Invisible Thread (Not Elastic)

Honestly I don't do A LOT of thread work but when I do I have 2 choices. Both are Steve Fearsons threads from emagicsupply.com The Virtuoso thread is AMAZING. Very thin and not really strong but it is VERY invisible. Also for what you pay, you get a good bit of thread and with every order he...

    Restock On Playing cards

If you go to Jaqk Cellars website they still have some of the blue backs left in stock. Also, some of their artwork is really cool for hanging around the house. http://jaqkcellars.com/stuff-jaqk-cellars-merchandise/signature-playing-cards

    david Blaine t.v. special

I'm really not going to argue with you because you aren't really reading what I'm saying anyways. Since I'm here though, of course guitar solos can vary slightly but the tapping in eruption is always there, the solo in house is rockin from srv always had similar licks and signature parts. It's...

    david Blaine t.v. special

In the end we all steal something from someone, who stole it from someone who stole it from someone. That's evolution. Eddie always plays the essentials the same. Every time. If he did not, no one would recognize the song. Also, there's another reason cover bands exist. I'm not trying to offend...

    Workable Gimmicks

So I was looking through everything I keep in my jacket today and was wondering what gimmicks everyone else tends to carry with them on a daily basis. Pre-made card gaffs, full on gimmicks, ITR's? I tend to try to pack light but my usual stash of utilities and gimmicks are as follows: French...

    david Blaine t.v. special

I think some people are a little rough on the question "How did Blaine do it?" I would like to say that even though I'm not a 100% working professional magician I'd like to think Blaine is flattered by the amount of upcoming talent that will be stirred up by this special. Of course some of us...
