If you can do the Charlier cut and the Revolution cut, then I would say get NB3. The Charlier cut is one of the basic card cuts that a huge number of flourishes use and it is extremely important you do it without thinking about it.

Practice practice and more practice. I had the same issue when learning Akira. Spinning the cards 360 using the base of my palm was impossible. Now, I can do that every time and can't believe I had an issue with it at the beginning. If you just keep at it you will find it falls into place...
