3D printing gimmicks

Has anyone ever attempted it? Like maybe some shimmed coins, custom coins, thump tips, etc.. THe technology seems great and limitless.

To print anything in any metal is extremely expensive, it requires a kind of 3D printer that very few people have access to, so thats pretty much it for coins, theres also a legality question there, but we dont need to go into that.

However the regular more commercial type 3D printer would be capable of printing at least some type of gimmick, nothing really comes to mind though. You could get a thumb tip out of it I suppose, it wouldn't be a particularly good one I don't think.
