Hello, I don't particularly post on here about gigs and whatnot, mostly because I don't actively seek those.
However, recently, one of my professor asked me to do a birthday party for his 5 year old son and his friend (age ranging from 2-5 I've been told, but I figured it could be up to 7 and not sure if that makes any difference.)
I told him I'd get back to him late February when everything settles down for me and here I am.
The party is tentatively scheduled at May and I have 30-60 minutes, and I think it's going to be reasonable to keep it to 45 minutes (children's attention span and whatnot).
Here lies the issue, my effects thus far has been more 'adult themed' in philosophical level and the jokes are better understood by young adults. So I'm in a little bit of a pickle, but I still have ample time to practice new routines.
As of current, I am planning on doing Rocky Raccoon (something I've been doing in various talent shows, and it's about 8 minutes) and sponge bunny routine (which I believe depending on reactions, can go up to 8 minutes also). So I need something to entertain children for another 30 minutes or so.
I was hoping some of you guys can open my eyes to different routines, (perhaps same routines that I already know but different presentations), children's behavior (attention span, what wows them, etc), and pretty much any tip will be useful to me and appreciate.
I highlighted what I think is relatively important with Blue, but of course any tips are appreciated.
Thanks.
