I FOUND THE ONE ONE ARISTOCRATS!!!!!! Whew. That took awhile.
I reached out to a friend that I suspected might know or remember the location of the mark. He pointed me to a written source. The mark is gone now, but here's essentially where it was:
Look at the back of a Bicycle Rider back with the short ends pointing towards and away from you. Look at the angel riding the bicycle that is upright. About a centimeter above his head is a "spade-shaped" design element with what looks like a flower petal or branch in it. To the left and right of the base of that spade-looking thing, are three very, very small marks. They look sort of like tiny blades of grass. On the right-hand side, the smallest of those things was little more than a dot on the Ace of Spades. It was larger (although still tiny) on all of the other cards.
Thanks to L.P. for pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks, Jason! Very kind of you to dig into that for us. That is a cool little bit of hidden history. I'll have to look for it if I run across an old enough version of that deck.
