Bicycle Fan Backs or Aladdins

Well, every year I have the opportunity to get a brick of playing cards from Ebay, from my aunt for my birthday. And these are the 2 types of cards I am fighting over. Could you help me decide? Thanks in advance for the input.

^ Great advice ^

(sarcasm aside) I'll try be as unopinionated as I can. I don't have fan backs, but I can say that Aladdins are very nice cards if you want to go for them. They are more resistant to sweaty hands (good for me), so that can be a plus depending on your hand type or where you live (like if it's hot and you sweat). But Aladdins do take some getting used to, because they are very snappy and have a plasticy feel to them (but they don't act like plastic cards). But in the end, if you're going to buy a brick of one or the other, go for whichever one you like the looks of best. Just remember Aladdins will be a bit different from what you're used to (which isn't a bad thing).

Cheers,
Ryan

PS: (no offense to the guy who posted above, it's just that it was a totally opinionated thing to say, which doesn't help the OP at all)

Alright, let me try again lol.

First of all have you tried either of them? I'm guessing you haven't so in that case are you more worried about the cards fanning well or is it not a big deal? Fanning isn't really Aladdin's strong suit, however they're pretty nice for flourishing/cardistry and pretty resistant to heat/warping (said above). On the other hand the bikes are pretty much good for anything.

So the reason I said I didn't like Aladdins was that my hand tend to get used to how they clump together so when I handle a different deck it seem to get all over the place, but this might just be my weird hands. Another reason, since I sweat a lot the plastic like feel to them makes them stick to my hand while flourishing, again this may just be my hands.

Also said above, you need to make sure you really like the back design. If you don't really like it, you will get bored of them pretty quick.

So to sum things up Aladdins if you are a flourisher, Fan backs if your a magician and (this can be argued) Fan backs if you're both. (some people recommend Aladdins for both) Also make sure about the back design. Now if you're a flourisher that likes nice fans go for the Fan backs (ironically) It all depends on what you like in a deck so if you tell us we could help you towards the right direction. So, I hope this helped in some way and more than my previous post.

P.S. If you have never used Aladdins and unsure whether you will like them, don't buy a brick to try them out buy one or two.

P.S.S. None taken :)

I'm glad :)

I also forgot to say what Erick said, I wouldn't buy a whole brick of card that you won't know if you will like (especially Aladdins, since there very different). Is it possible for you to get six fan backs and six aladdins? That might be the best way to go.

Cheers,
Ryan
