Imagine... A ouiji board the size of your palm. Easy for travel, and contains all the power of a full functioning one.
The spectators hold onto the board and the dial simply moves across it at the command of the magi. No strings. Nothing.
The spectator is asked to select a card, but of course you won't find it.. the board will.
A card is selected, and all attention turns to the board. The dial is removed. A trial by fire you suggest. You light a match and apply it to the board. In a flash of fire and smoke the letters burn away, all but the ones that indicate the spectators chosen card.
Evil. Direct. Visual.
To the best of my knowledge the perposed plot above is origional. I'm working on developing the prototype as we speek. I hope to have video of this effect up within a month or two, as I'll be away for 2 weeks for a gig. I welcome anyone's thoughts on this, concept and presentation.
