What you get for 49.95:
-DVD
-Gimmick
-Carabiner (which is actually part of the gimmicking but I just like sayin "beaners")

Effect:
You borrow someones ring or something of the sort. You show it very cleanly. You put it in your closed fist. A little rub and it dissappears. You show both hands cleanly empty. You reach back into your back pocket and take out a key ring and among keys and stuff, their ring is one of the attached.

First Thoughts:
I already have a ringflight gimmick from a few years back. My original was like this ugly keywallet thing that looked pretty normal, but still looked like it could hide something. Although no one ever asked, I always felt uneasy to carry such a big lunk for keys. So I saw Departure. Said "meh... 50 dollars for a ring flight" I looked at mine and was like "dammit this is ugly as cow tits." and bought it.

Teaching:
Everything is taught well. Nothing left out. Different handlings and patter and what not are taught. He talks about the gimmick and its creation. He talks about exactly how to use the gimmick and how you can "customize" (not really) it." No flashy editing and what not but I dont care.

Gimmick:
It sure as hell is better than my old one. It works fine. There is not much noise but if you know keyrings, then you know that noise is not avoidable. It looks a lot cleaner than a big ol key wallet and it takes out most possible methods. There is a part of the gimmick I dont like but I cant say what it is. Although it doesnt take away from the effect, it looks abnormal for a kid of my age to be having one. It can easily be customized to look like somethign else, but still. I thought that part could have been a bit more imaginative. As for the range of the effect (you ring flight users no what I mean). It works well for me, but some tall people may find it a bit... annoying I guess.

Method:
Like any other ring flight, it uses the same principle. The catch here is just the gimmick that rapes all the others in the visuals aspect and cleanliness. What I like about this is that the gimmick is tiny so that its easy to keep all over the place. And unlike other gimmicks that I have used, this one doesnt require a jacket, which kinda kicks ass.
Derek teaches quite a few methods, which is quite awesome. He personally likes a shirt rub method where you rub a "smudge" off the ring and the entire thing dissapears, but I myself like to just do a hand fist vanish sorta thing.

Final Thoughts:
Its an awesome gimmick but... 50 dollars is kinda... yea... I could probably make my own (less awesome) gimmick but still have the same clean look (just a billion times louder). Ah well. Got some cash and want a cool trick? then get this. Kinda recommended and what not... ah well. You decide.
