Good question - happy to clarify! eXile was developed by Mathieu Bich for the routine shown (with a quarter / coin).

Double Cross was developed as a modern take on the classic "ashes on palm" plot - but this time, with a Sharpie, and entirely self contained within the Sharpie. As long as you carry around that Sharpie in your pocket, you're ready to perform this at a moment's notice - extremely practical. In short: somewhat similar, but different plots and different methods.
