DVD + Book

Hello people! I just want to hear your thoughts.

I want to give someone a gift. A book about simple card effects and self working card effects that also has a DVD.

if they are looking to really get into magic, The Complete Course in Magic (Joshua Jay), has the written out effectmethod + some effects shown on a DVD also.

Ammar's Easy To Master Card Miricales. An other fairly cheap staring point would be Born To Perform from Oz Pearlman.

The Joshua Jay book is great aswell.

An alternative is any of the Card College Light Series as they are marketed as complete acts of selfworking tricks.

Royal Road to Card Magic by Magic Makers (I think).

Magic Makers do have a Royal Road DVD set, but based on their poor reputation, and the shoddy quality of every other product that I've seen from them, I'd go for Paul Wilson's DVDs instead.

I will second the Josh Jay Book as well as Oz's Born to Perform DVD. Both are great choices.

The Josh Jay book comes with a DVD of effects as well. It is located on the inside cover of the book. I was actually at the filming of this project.
