My fall-themed magic effect of preference is definitely Paul Harris' Leaf, in which a leaf is torn from the tree branch and impossibly and genuinely restored back onto the branch after being initialed!

Nice dude... Your double lift is a bit clumsy sometimes, and the whole presentation of distortion could be better... But it looks like you had some fun, and the floating dollar bill was really cool.

Firstly, mucho respecto for going out there and just doing it, good work. Anything I say here is simply to help, please understand that.
First, 2 Card Monte. I noticed there was no "routine" to it, you just started "switching" cards. You don't need some big patter fest, but some sort of patter would really fill out the effect and make it stronger, in my opinion. Something like talking about gamblers or con men, ect. There are tons of presentations for it, those two are jut the classics.
Then, your sleight of hand. There is nothing technically wrong about your double, I suppose, but I cringed when I saw it. It was SO exaggerated and it seemed like you had to use both hands just to turn over a "single" card. This was especially noticeable when you would turn over a legit single in a very normal, carefree manner, and then struggle with turning over the double. It makes your performance choppy and unprofessional. Work on your double and using as little effort as possible. Your top change also needs a good bit of work. Instead of using any misdirection you tried to use speed which made for a very awkward, noisy top change. Work on getting it silent and then work the misdirection for it into your routine. Take a step back, relax, then change, ect.
Also, you need to respect your spectators and their personal space more. With your 2 card monte you were jabbing cards at their hands for no apparently pattered reason, and with just this quick, intruding force. Be smooth with them, shake their hand, slowly break the space barrier and then even when you do, let it be in a gentle, respectful way.
Distortion, really, you just need to work on the sleight of hand and perhaps patter a touch more. The sleights were just plain slow and awkward, especially when it took 5 seconds to get your break. Watch the dvd and perfect the sleights. Also, transpositions do not need much patter, but even just stating what is happening is a great addition. Watching that performance I didn't understand what was going on or about to happen until it was all over.
The glide effect was very cool (don't you just love it when they touch the right card?) but the sleight itself could have bit just a bit smoother, but it was nothing that bad.
Overall, those are the big points I have. Again, props for going and taking your licks out there in the world.

Thanks for all the comments and advice. This video was shot almost a year ago. I'd like to think I've gotten better since then. Yes, some of the sleights in the video make me cringe as well. I definitely have been working on my techniques. I'm just grateful I got the reactions that I did. I think most my spectators genuinely had a 'magical' experience. Please keep the comments coming. Nothing can hurt my feelings, this is a constant learning experience.

A performer.Mhm, I really liked your effect (I have no idea of it's name), where the spectator puts a finger on any card and it changes. Nice and gutsy
.I really didn't like your bill levitation, because the bill was so motion-less in air. Sure it's better to be still, than to move obviously like it's hanging on a string, but it's still a bit odd to just sit there, two meters from the ground.
Your distortion was really crap. Sorry for the directness, but what were you doing with establishing a break ? It looked like you were preparing to shuffle. The change could of be done a bit smoother too (Check out Cyril's change. It's wonderful
).Two card monte was nice and direct in my opinion. Sure a bit of a patter would help, but I liked the clearness of it.
The Self Tying shoelace presentation was really nice, although you could present it more as a magic, rather than "I've learned to do it without my hands". Makes it more mystic and would score you much better reactions.
Coin bite was just bad. The biting was happening for too long, and your hand covered everything so it really wasn't seen what you were doing. When you blew the piece back on, you did a large action with the hand. Thats a shame, as it wasn't seen visually melt back on.
But as I said, you get a 5/5 for just performing as a real magician (That is, for an audience) from me.

I agree with everything except that the biting was happening for too long. If someone was to actually bite a piece off of a quarter, do you think it would be quick and easy or slow and painful? I tend to believe the latter, and that's what I try to get across when performing the coin bite.
