Hey guys one of my co-workers told me a funny story today. Apparently he used to practice Magic but stopped when he almost set a friend of a friend's hair fully on fire with a ball of flash paper. I was wondering if any of you guys have ever had something go wrong during a trick and almost or have had an accident.

I burn my hand during my opener...it hurt like hell...but the show had to go on!!!
 
I was practicing with flash paper once, and didnt realize that my dads t-shirt in the corner was covered in some sort of flammable liquid from the car garage. well i threw a fireball, not realizing it would fly as far as it did, and caught the t-shirt on fire. I had to grab it with a spatula and run outside with it and throw it on the ground lol.
 
I used to do x marks the spotby Justin miller and I could only do the one move neeeded with my loop wearing hand well I burnt my loop and I had not done trick that used the loop. It was okay it was a show for my local magic shop. It was up setting because I was trying to inpress Wayne Hoffman who was visiting us.
 
decided that it might be cool if I rolled an index card into a cigarette and have it shoot out fireballs from my mouth.

Problem was it didn't shoot the right way and it tasted like iron. the end.
 
I had a gig and it was at a night pool party and I performed for this one lady and she flipped out. Then she promptly in mid-freak out fell into the pool. I still got paid.
 
Try performing Warning by Kostya as an opener right over top of a BRAND spanking new close up pad. When I threw the fire ball it did not go out as fast as the other ones and burnt a huge big spot in the middle of a $30 close up pad. Wow...talk about an opener and trying to get threw the rest of my show being mad as heck....ha ha. I just laugh now when I think of it.

Just last week I performed Warning...threw the flash paper and part of it singed my silk tie....yup...left a big singe mark. That tie is now going to the good will...ha ha.
