The trick Fraud by Daniel Garcia requires a certain printing device which I'm sure any of you who do the trick know about. I myself, nor any of my friends have it :( So my question - has anyone tried a laser printer and had it work without damaging it? I'd hate to break mine if it truly does matter.

Love to get this trick off the ground

Laser printers, unless I'm mistaken, use a special kind of paper and toner that's all heat activated. A dollar isn't made of the right stuff and wouldn't take the print.

I'm on the tech committee at my school and I'm responsible for all printers and luckily you are mistaken. You are right in saying that laser printers use a heat activated toner. They use a laser (hence the name) to melt, what is essentially, plastic onto the paper. However the paper is just normal printer paper and a laser printer can print on any paper.
