HELLO PEOPLE OF THEORY11.COM!

I've been performing magic for a couples years and I have stopped magic for a couple months now. I can't seem to get movtivated or get the urge to perform magic for others.

What motivates you to perform magic for others?

horror movies.....yes horror movies man, i get my magical creations off horror movies...i try to re-invent what done but with a new twist...like right now i'm working on a full decapitation...not like the head falling down that you have seen from Cyril...but a full decap.....some of my other effects have came from horror movies....since i do geek and macabre style magic...i want to push it to the limits....i once did a performance using andrew mayne's gutbuster but i used like hollywood style organs and totally killed my audience...... i always wanted to be the perfect horror icon when i was growing up....

hope that helps man.....

Watching other magicians perform always motivates me. Just make sure whomever you're watching is actually a good performer. ;)

Check out the Street Magic category in our media section for some dope live performances that should get you right back in the game.

The thing that has been motivating me was watching other performers, such as Jeff McBride, Criss Angel, Divid Blaine, David Copperfield, ect. I watched performers on Theory11 media center and on Ellusionist.com.

I learned that it's better to do 10 tricks well than 100 tricks poorly. But, I guess I might need new material anyway.

I just did a gig last Saturday that reminded me why I love to perform.

Simply how much people love to see it! The smiles, the laughter, the gasps, and the claps. People love it. It makes them happy. That motivates me to get better and to keep performing for real people rather than my camera. (lol I say that, and then look at my post and my sig is the first video I've recorded and uploaded. lol ironic)

Just go out and perform for Some one the feeling that you get after you do your routine that's what gets me motivated. I've been doing the same 20 or so tricks for the last 2 years or so I add a trick maybe every 6-8 months. So in short just start performing again.
