New Color Change

I am new to magic. I have been doing it seriously for a little over a month now, and I came up with a new move. I used it in this video as a color change although I am still developing it and a color change isnt what i want to do with it. I was just wondering if some people with experience could validate that it is in fact something new and also critique the move itself. I know the performance isnt great, but it is what it is. Thanks

its almost a jones change but this is a different approach. Take the video down and do it again and be more natural it looks really sloppy.

Good luck!

Yeah it is quite sloppy, but i have only been doing for a couple of days and i wanted to make sure it was something worth pursuing before i wasted a lot of time on it. Thanks for watching it and giving it to me straight. I just watched the jones change as well and it is very similair to that.

take the video down and re do it. The two handed card spin thing is over nessicary you should be doing it with one hand. Seriously tho if you really want to get this thing down re do the video and re post it.

It can be good, but your presentation this far is bland.

Being honest, didn't like it one bit and the presentation yes wasn't good but the change itself didn't make sense. To many other changes that accomplish it better and easier to perform.

The Jones Change is flashy and unnecessary and this is similar. It's good to see you are thinking of new variations but I would stop this one and try something else.

Thanks for the honesty fellas. Too Sherlock, its honestly not that hard, but i still see what you are saying. The biggest thing is recovery and i know i have a long way to go on that. I also really wanted to use it as a switch. I was going to "try" to change the card (6 spades in video) into the persons selected card (Joker in the video) and nothing happen and then hand the spectator the card they actually selected (Joker in the video) face down and return the other (6 of spades) to the deck and magically switch the cards without touching them. This way i dont have to do all that recovery mess. I can just palm the card and slip the deck over the top of it while i trying to explain my "failure". The reason i didn't present it that way is because it introduces a new problem i haven't worked out.

Duly noted. The move is no good or the trick is no good because of taking my hands off camera. Again, i am new to magic and i am trying to learn. Any advice is much appreciated.
