The trick routine taught in the video actually involves stashing the gimmick, so don't worry about trying to find a way to do it yourself. In fact, Aaron Fisher recommends you do this as an opener, so you can start with this trick and use that same deck for whatever else you want. Technically, the trick doesn't disturb the actually cards/order or whatever in the deck itself, so it can be a trick, or set-up deck too, if you wish.
