Pen and Teller inspiration

so pen and teller were on T.V a couple of weeks ago and ever since i saw this one trick performed it was etchasketched into my mind ! (its like a toy and you draw with some circle thingy-ma-doodles if you did not know)

What was the trick?..... this trick was where they were on a beach and people selected cards and they found them in random places on the beach

now they revealed how to do this trick on the show so its fine for me to say this

my mind is not capable of remembering 52 cards and there places ! and in actual fact they remembered 104 because they did this twice per card !

anyway this planted an idea in my head.... a way to do this with NO memorizing of a deck...... and no deck needed at all.... a thought of card is found anywhere you like on your person or in your surroundings and you can do with with as many people as you like at once

no phycological force is used or persuasion in any way they truly think of any card

do you guys think this would be a good effect to perform ?
or even create?

wouuld love to hear some input
will be able to get the trick up and running in a few weeks. i already have a prototype and am trying it for the first time tomorow if i can get a video up i will ! :D

anyway what do you think !

If there is no deck then how do you produce cards? I get your idea, have someone think of a card and pull is out of somewhere on your body or nearby but, Daniel madisons advocate is basically a way of pulling any named card out of one pocket. It's pretty much what your'e looking for because there is very little memory work involved.

noooo not cards Drawn cards on your body or Jumbo cards placed around your surroundings :) there is no remembering in my effect and no memorizing anything :)

i might buy it to see if it is the same method :)

So there is no memorizing anything, no cards involved, they simply think of a card and it is either drawn on your body or is a jumbo card nearby? It doesn't sound like you intened using a psychological force, so im guessing it's a magic trick with a physical method as opposed to a strictly mentalism type effect? Sounds amazing if you cant do it, you'll understand i have my doubts.

i understand why you are skeptical.... but i tried this yesterday and it works a charm ! :D... worked like a beauty i asked them if they had any clue and they didnt have a clue :D.... yes it is with a physical method but you would not think of it, it is that simple i shall be able to get a video up in three weeks when i get the camera back :)

oh sorry also after they have thought of it ..... they tell me the card after as they are telling me the card they can see it anywhere i please to show them :) (sorry if that was missleading i forgot that in the post they think of it then tell me as soon as they tell me i produce it instantly :)
