Promoting Your Stuff?

I was just wondering how to promote your stuff, get it on other sites, etc. I thought this would be helpful for myself and others, who aren't looking as big as E or T11, but would like to see their stuff out there past promoting their own site.
In short, what do you guys think would be the best way for people who think they have good, time-tested magic that's not a stupid Youtube tutorial or a method that says "u" and "lol" in it.

Those are two sites that allow for trick submissions. You send some info on your trick, and if they think it's good, they'll help you film a download for it. It's a good way if you just want to get that one trick out.

Do you have to have a video demo? I'm assuming yes but I'm just wondering.

Anyway, I'm sure a text description of the effect is a decent start...if it sounds good, then you go from there.
