I understand that normally they should be filmed on the spot, but what if your talent is video editing? Not mine, I might add, but I think in this particular contest, older videos should be ok, as long as they clearly showcase the person displaying the talent.

All,

Recently I took it upon myself to pull togeather a team to do the Tough Mudder (12 mile obstacle course designed by British special forces), which is dubbed, ' probably the toughest event on the planet'. Below is the video i created/edited of the event. Enjoy. If i can do it...anyone can do it.

Teamwork is what makes it possible. I was part of team AE2S; and togeather we made it through.

Hey everyone!

This week, it's not about the magic but instead, we're interested in your other talents and inspiring each other with new and creative ideas. As magicians and/or cardists, we draw inspiration from everything around us. Inspiration can come from architecture or new genres of entertainment, to name a few, and that inspiration can give us the spark to create something great.

So tonight, we are going to inspire each other by showing off the talents we all have outside of magic. Do you play drums, skateboard, draw? Great! Anything you love to do outside of magic can inspire not only yourself, but others as well.

The challenge is to film a video of you showcasing a talent of yours that is NOT magic related at all. Film your talent, and post your video to YouTube or Vimeo. Then, post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread no later than 7:30pm EST tomorrow, Sunday July 1st. The winner for this week's contest will receive a Heritage Series Set, a White Monarch, Rapture, and Insane, all on the house!

Have fun with this! We can't wait to see all of your wonderful talents!

I still don't know if this contest requires new videos or not, but here's a video of my other talent. Outside of magic I'm majorly into theatre, particularly musical theatre. Here's a clip of me singing a song from one of my favourite musicals at a recent concert. Enjoy, and good luck to all!

I'm a big fan of musical theatre as well. Nice job here, you've got a good voice.

Hi guys this is my entry of me solving a rubik's cube blindfolded.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9k5D1AjLtE&feature=g-upl

You solved that about 10 seconds faster than I can do without the blindfold, incredible. I have always been envious of people who could solve cubes blindfolded, especially being somebody who actually knows the amount of effort that goes into learning how to do it. Could I ask how exactly you memorise the cube? Like do you assign certain numbers to certain pieces, or look for patterns or something?

Anyway, here is my submission:

I consider myself more of a contact juggler than a magician, but love and perform both regularly.

OMG your submission is amazing.

So you are right I assign each colour a number and memorise the cube face by face.. then I visualise the cube in my head and solve it in my mind whilst simultaneously solving it physically. If you want to get into solving blindfolded then the way I started was I would scramble it and memorise just one face and then cover the cube and redraw the face on paper and then check. When I got better I gradually increased the number of faces I memorised until I could do the whole thing!!!

Hope this helped ;-)

Hy!

I've got lot of hobbies but now I choose Wind-Surfing because I think that it's not so usual.
I went surfing 3 days ago (I live far from the nearest lake) and I didn't make a video but my brother made some photos. (With my phone)
So I can only show photos.

(You can see that this is not from the "youngest" wind surfs but I love it. With this kind of surf it's harder to stay on it.)
